1. What's your most favorite thing ever?

I'm torn. There was a moment, when I was playing for a production of Otello, when the piano was in tune and the singers neither overacted nor undersang, and I really do believe it may have been the most perfect moment I have ever experienced. On the other hand, I think that 'sex' more regularly fits the description of 'most favorite thing ever.' Such a dilemma.

2. What are you afraid of?

Did you really expect an answer to that question?

3. Why do you call me duck?

Habit.

Yes.

You can never trust Othello. He claims that there is no witchcraft in his little courtship, and yet he explicitly states that his handkerchief is charmed; he says that Cassio and Desdemona have fucked thousands of times, when they could have managed fifteen or sixteen, perhaps, if Cassio had any staying power at all. He then not only kills the woman whom he had sworn to honor and protect, but also conceals a weapon and deceives an audience to distract them from his own suicide attempt. It might have been a less tragic story if he and Iago had just got on with it and shagged, but that doesn't mean there would have been less deception.

So he exaggerates a little and does extreme things in extreme circumstances. He's still trustworthy.

John was definitely not an English major--but his typist is, and has attended/presented at two Ohio Shakespeare Conferences thus far, and so she simply applied John's perspective to her data about Othello. (His typist doesn't think bisexuals are untrustworthy at all. ^____^)

1. No, of course not. Perry might harbour a few, but I've found that life's too short for grudges.

2. He can be surprisingly sweet sometimes. Stop laughing-- he can. And he's very romantic when we're alone.
