I don't have much use for physical violence. Outside of the bedroom, anyway. It's expected of an Englishman, that he is more civilized than his American neighbours--and I make up for that by bitching ceaselessly.

*smiles, then--an indulgent sort of smile--and plays the accompaniment to the song that he'd wanted Armand to sing; it's a beautiful bit of accompaniment, honestly, a ringing major-key piece that is part soliloquy and part showmanship and designed to show off a truly spectacular tenor--but it stands well enough on its own--*
